Zimbabwe

we can listen and learn.

What the hell is with Zimbabwe?

You know why we haven't helped them (the people), don't you? There's no money in it. In fact, there is money in not helping them. By allowing their government to keep agriculture in a completely annihilated state, they are dependent on foreign food and foreign aid. That's better for the Corruption Machine. It creates dependence and debt. There is profit in that.

Personally, I would solve this problem quickly and efficiently.

Step one is to send in a recon team to find a few decent people, if there are any, to be the new leaders. We could import a few from the states who were born there but raised and educated here if we had to. But the basic purpose of step one is to line up a new government that has a working plan to re-establish agriculture. We must be able to feed the people and make them independent again. They were the bread basket of Africa at one time. They can be again.

Step two is to eliminate, by whatever means, Mugabe and his henchmen. That means dead as a doorknob, not just captured. Anyone else attempting to take power will be eliminated as well. First priority is to firmly establish the new government, to give it a foothold, to give the people a chance to see what it can do.

Step three is to wind up their agriculture. Aid will be in the form of education, farming equipment, seeds and fertilizer. The people need to be put back to work learning how to feed themselves again.

No, I don't think security will be a problem there. I think the people will settle down rather quickly once they see their country being rebuilt, once they have work and food again. The new government will be accepted almost instantly.

What would this cost, to save millions of people? Almost nothing. Less than 1/1000th of what we just gave the bastard banksters...
