Health Care

We Believe

that Health Care must be provided to all.

Health Care must be absolutely free for all children under 18.

Health Care for all legal citizens 18-65, with a job, should also be free. Currently, we do not have a Health Care system in this country. In fact, we are the only civilized country in the world that does not. What we have now is better known as a Wallet Extraction System. It was designed and built to remove as much money from your wallet as possible. This system needs to be completely thrown out so we can start over with a clean slate. It is possible, and indeed relatively easy, to provide great Health Care at no cost to you. You worked for it. You’ve earned it. You deserve it.

No, I do not advocate socialized medicine. I want to overhaul the current system, to be business-driven, but with a lot less overhead, fewer middle-men, and a lot more service for the money.

Health Insurance companies are doubling the cost. Yes, they are. They are a middle-man, with huge staff, massive paperwork, and big fat profits. They also force doctors to hire excessive staff and spend huge amounts of time filing paperwork. Eliminating insurance companies alone, will cut Health Care costs in half.

Malpractice suits have gone berserk. OBGYN’s are being forced out of state, and out of business, simply because they cannot afford the malpractice insurance. This entire system of legal recourse needs to be overhauled and the costs cut down.

Drug companies are out of control as well. There are only a few big companies, and they spend billions on researching just a few drugs. When they find one, they charge an arm and a leg for it. Then they turn around and sell it at 1/10th the price overseas. It does not have to be this way. Smaller companies are much more efficient and can find better drugs at far cheaper costs. This whole process, including the ridiculously long patents, needs to be overhauled.

Health Care can be made available to every working family.

All employers will pay 100% for all their employee’s Health Care. Even for temporary, seasonal, and migrant workers. This way they’re all on an even playing field. No one goes out of business. There is nothing new or unusual about this plan. This is what employers used to do! Health Care used to be a standard part of every job. It will be again!

No deductible. No pre-existing conditions. No non-covered illnesses. If you’re working, you and your family are covered.

The problems begin at around age 65. This is where things start to become really exhorbitantly expensive. Everyone wants all the newest drugs. Everyone wants all the best doctors. Everyone wants all the best everything. Well that’s fine when you’re young and healthy. But older people can cost a fortune, with a trip to the doctor every week, multiple medications, and on and on. You can blow your entire life’s income, all the money you have ever made in your lifetime, without even batting an eyelash at this age. There have to be some restrictions. Sorry. Nobody has enough money to cover all the expenses in the upper age bracket. Nobody. Basic health care must continue to be free, as a sign of our respect. But most of the more expensive extras will have to be out-of-pocket. Alternative suggestions welcome. Hey, I could lie to you like everyone else is, and get one hell of a lot more votes... But you know what? I can’t. Lying goes against every last fiber of my being. Hence, you get the truth. Deal with it.

So here’s the poll scenario. Let’s see what you think. Be honest. It’s not an easy decision...

You’re middle-aged, you have a few kids about ready to graduate from High School, and you want them to continue on to college. But Grandma isn’t doing so well. She needs quadruple bypass surgery to keep her alive. Problem is this... the kids will cost about $100K, and Grandma will cost about $100K... but you don’t have money for both. Secure the kids’ future? Or keep Grandma around for another year or two, tops. Perhaps you should ask her what she thinks is more important? A few years for her, or a lifetime for the kids... What’s it going to be? Who gets the money?
